  • Responsibilities — Product Specialist / Sales Consultant:
  • Greet customers upon arrival and perform needs analysis including make, model, and features of desired vehicle
  • Explain features and demonstrate the operation of the vehicle
  • Research availability of models and optional equipment using computer databases
  • Work with Sales Managers and F&I Managers to negotiate sales and requirements for financing or vehicle lease
  • Visually inspect inventory and maintain knowledge of current inventory
  • Complete all paperwork and arrange for delivery and registration of vehicle
  • Deliver and familiarize customer with vehicle
  • Prospect for new customers
  • Attend and complete required training and department meetings
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Prior automotive sales experience is not required — We train the right candidates for the exciting field of auto sales! If you have experience in retail, real estate, marketing, and/or customer service, you can succeed with the professional training and management we provide!

Denny Menholt University Honda continues to grow and we are seeking a talented automotive service advisor to join our successful team.

 

As a service advisor, you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage.

 

Other responsibilities include developing estimates, writing repair orders, and maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician — ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers
  • Explaining provisions and exclusions
  • Develop estimates for costing materials, suppliers, and labor while calculating the customer's payments — including deductibles
  • Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required
  • Obtain approval signatures
  • Enter RO into service database system
  • Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection
  • Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs
  • Present a friendly, professional greeting to customers and help identify, confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns
  • Consult with customers on applicable service specials
  • Keep customers informed on completion times and service expenes
  • Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as an automotive technician is a plus
  • A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license
